“Making the decision to talk to someone about how you feel is the first step in the right direction. It is difficult to be objective when you are in the middle of an emotional crisis but having someone there to listen and guide you can help to see the situation through fresh eyes.

“I strive to create a comfortable and safe environment in which my client feels they can talk confidentially and without judgment. I understand that counselling or psychotherapy can feel daunting for some people so I always pace the sessions according to the needs of my client. People very often feel they are the only one going through a certain crisis or the only one thinking or feeling a certain way. However, the majority of people reach certain points in their life when they feel out of control, stressed, depressed, anxious or they may just feel the need for change. Talking to a counsellor can help you feel less isolated.

As well as listening to my clients I also like to provide a structure to the sessions so that you feel like you are gaining control of your situation. We work together to achieve this whether it is how you would like to feel or think, how you would like to deal with a certain crisis or if it is about achieving a peaceful, happier mind.”
